Federal and State incentives for commercial solar applications establish a basis for very compelling financial structures, offering rapid Returns on Investment and high Internal Rates of Return. In many cases, we can structure a financial package that will be cash flow positive within 4 years of installation.

The cost of a photovoltaic system will vary significantly depending on the size of the system or how much power is needed. Larger systems (greater than 25kW) benefit from economies of scale.

Incentives and rebates can come from the federal government, state governments, and utility providers. They are designed to encourage consumers to purchase renewable energy and efficiency services. The incentives and rebate market is dynamic and changes quickly, and we stay on top of it to help you take full advantage of the unprecedented amount of money available. Please feel free to email us with questions or for detailed information. For a comprehensive list of available incentives please also visit the Database of State Incentives for Renewables & Efficiency (DSIRE) website.

Currently Massachusetts residents and companies have a particularly cost effective opportunity for installing a solar energy system. The state has mandated that Massachusetts utility companies obtain 15% of their energy from renewable resources by 2020. As the owner of a solar energy producing solar system, you can sell Solar Renewable Energy Certificates (SRECs) to the utility company. One SREC can be sold for every 1 MWh produced by the system.  Second Generation Energy is an aggregator of SRECs, and we can sell your SRECs for you so that you get your money without any trouble.
